Ethyr Skills

Well, I think someone have noticed there are 8 ethyr skill slots. But you can only use 4 at a time.
Why?
Is there a way to somehow expand the skill slots? Or do you have to wait to get a higher level to use more ethyr skills at a time?
I hope someone can tell me. ^^
